     "Read Across America"

During the week of March 4 - 8, 2013, Sorors of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter participated in "Read Across America" at Kessler Elementary School on Fort Stewart, GA.  Sorors read to classes of students from Kindergarten through 4th grade.  Soror Marlin's favorite book was "I Like Myself!" by Karen Beaumont.  The book focused on liking yourself regardless of how you look on the outside and was a great book to encourage positive self-esteem.  Sorors were also slected by the school to judge the door decorating contest.  Each class decorated their classroom door in association with the theme "Read Across America".  Most classes opted to decorate their door with images from their favorite book.
