January 2017 - Lena Scott


Soror Lena Scott became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. through the Iota Tau Chapter at Armstrong Atlantic State University on April 28, 2013. This is her second financial year in Chi Pi Zeta and she currently serves as the Parliamentarian. Lena is currently working towards her Masters in Healthcare Business Administration at South University. One of her favorite quotes is stated by our honorable founder Fannie P. Watts; "our ideals of service, sisterly love, scholarship, and finer womanhood are needed now more than ever before. Let

 us be faithful and vigilant to our cause."

















December 2016 - Nicole Mealing








 Soror Nicole Mealing became a member of Zeta in the spring of 2016 through the Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, GA.  She is an active duty     member of the United States Army, where she serves as the Signal Platoon Sergeant in the 3rd Infantry Division Artillery Headquarters.  Soror Mealing has been in Army for 17 years.  Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and has completed all requirements for her Master's Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, to be conferred this year.  Soror Mealing enjoys spending time with her daughter Ariana, traveling and event planning.

March 2016 - Robin Adams-Massenburg and Debra Booker


Soror Robin Adams-Massenburg became a Zeta because she wanted that fire and zeal she saw exuding from a very small chapter in Hawaii.  She said; "I want some of that and when I get it I wouldn't let my fire dull.  I'm just doing all that Zeta asks of me.  And, I am doing what I can so that Zeta's light will continue to shine as that beacon in our community."


Soror Debra Booker became a member of Zeta in December 1981 as a charter member of Lambda Lambda Chapter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She is the immediate past president of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter and is also a charter member.  In 2013 She was recognized as a State of Georgia, Zeta Phi Beta Hall of Fame Honoree.  She is a native of Racine, Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Marquette University and a Master's Degree in Psychology from Argosy University.  Debra currently works as an Administrative Officer for the Peace Corps Central Regional Recruiting Office.   She additionally works as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Ashford University.  She is a 13-year Veteran of the United States Army where she worked as a Behavioral Science Specialist.  She has one son, Darius who is currently a graduate student at California Institute of the Arts and, a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. 



February 2016- Michele Freeney-Washington
 
Soror Michele Freeney-Washington became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the spring of 2015 through the Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, GA.  She is a Veteran of the US Army and Georgia Army National Guard.  Michele received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Armstrong Atlantic State University.  She began her career with the State of Georgia in 2006.  In 2006, she was employed as a Juvenile Probation Officer II with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and worked diligently there from 2006-  2010.  She was also employed as a Probation Officer II with the Georgia Department of Corrections from 2010-2015 and is currently a Behavioral Health Counselor 2 with the Department.  Michele’s greatest love is working with young people, helping them avoid the mistakes she made, and challenging them to be all they can be.  Michele is a mentor and serves as the Mentor Coordinator for TELL- Talented Educated Leading Ladies.  Michele is a very positive thinking Christian woman, who challenges and competes against herself.  Her motto is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Her greatest satisfaction comes from challenging others to accept this motto and seeing them succeed. Michele is married to Nathaniel Washington, Jr. to whom she has been happily married for fifteen years.  She is the mother of two young men ages twenty-two and sixteen.

  Soror Lena Scott was born and raised in Burke County Georgia. She became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on April 28, 2013 through Iota Tau chapter at Armstrong State University. While there, Lena served in various positions including; Secretary and Treasurer. She joined Chi Pi Zeta chapter shortly after graduation. She is a recent Honor Graduate of Armstrong State University, with a Bachelors in Radiologic Science-Cardiovascular Intervention. Lena is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration at South University. She is currently employed at the Mayo Clinic as a Cardiovascular Specialist.

September 2015 - Joan Styles & Villardine Goode
 
Soror Joan Styles became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the fall of 2013.  She is a native of Rochelle, GA.  She is a wife and the mother of two sons, one of which is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.  Soror Styles received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Fort Valley State University.  She spent two years in the Public School System in Wilcox County, GA.  After leaving Wilcox, Soror Styles spent two years as a Basic Skills Instructor at Central Texas College.  She recently retired, after 27 years of federal, civilian service. During these years, she served as a Preschool Teacher, Youth Center Director, Before /After School Programmer and Before/After School Director. In addition to her son, Soror Styles also has a brother who is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.  A Royal Family indeed!
 
 
Soror Villardine Goode is a wife, mother and Soldier in the United States Army.She has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta since Fall 2011 and has recently transferred to Chi Pi Zeta chapter from Rho Mu Zeta out of Clarksville, TN.She has been serving in the Army for 13 years.She has been married to the love of her life for 10 years and has two children.Soror Goode holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource and Technology Management from Troy University and is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University.Soror Goode enjoys spending time with her family, a good book, and working with the "classy, but oh so sassy" ladies of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter.
 
 

 
May 2015 - Michele Freeney-Washington

March 2015 - LaRita Dalton, Shelia Dease-Dinkins & Robin Adams-Massenburg
 
Soror Larita Dalton has been an active member of Chi Pi Zeta chapter for over five years.  Soror Dalton is currently serving as the Chapter President. She has been active within her community and her church.  She is an advocate of ZHOPE projects and always looking for ways to assist within the community.  Her motto, “The World is a stage and everyone must play their part”, are words she truly lives by.  She was recently appointed as a member of the National Military Advisory Board for the Southern Region and looking forward to the new endeavor.  I’m sure she will do continue to do an awesome job in representing herself, the sorority and the military on this level.  
 
 
Soror Shelia Dease-Dinkins has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for 16 years (April 1997). She currently services as the chapter First Vice President and Membership Coordinator. Shelia is orginally from Brooklyn, New York, however she became a member of the Sorority at Morris Brown College, Beta Chapter in Atlanta, Georgia. Shelia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Morris Brown College and earned a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix in 2006, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2009, she earned a second Master's Degree in Human Services from Capella University with Cum Laude honors. Shelia is currently employed with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) where she serves as the Facility Director of the Claxton Regional Youth Detention Center. She has been employed with DJJ since April, 1998 and has held numerous positions including; Juvenile Correctional Officer I, Juvenile Correctional Officer II, Juvenile Correctional Lietenant, Juvenile Dentention Assistant Director and, Senior Investigator before being promoted to her current position in September 2007. Shelia is married, has a 14 year-old son and resides in Pooler, Georgia.

Soror Lucinda Johnson-Wallace is a wife and a mother of two boys.  She became a member of Chi Pi Zeta chapter in Hinesville, GA in the spring of 2011.  She is a native of Douglas, GA.  Lucinda is a Veteran having served twenty years in the United States Army,  traveling around the world and serving in many capacities.  She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from South University and her second Master’s in Management and Leadership from Webster University.  Currently, Soror Wallace is employed by Department of Defense as a Prevention Coordinator with the Army Substance Abuse Program.  She enjoys coaching basketball, assisting her son in prepping for NFL, working for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and preparing her son for Ivy League College.  She believes in working with the community; making it a better place for the future.  


January 2015 - Brittni Johnson
 
Soror Brittni Johnson is a Graduate of Georgia Southern University, earning both a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Science in Kinesiology. Brittni became a member of Zeta Phi Beta through the Epsilon Xi Chapter in November of 2008. There, she held several positions including President, 1st Vice President, Parliamentarian, and Public Relations Chairperson. Brittni was elected as the National Undergraduate Member to the Executive Committee at the 2010 Boule and served in that position until 2012. She is currently the Undergraduate Coordinator for the State of Georgia and is also responsible for the health and wellness programming in Georgia. Brittni is a Certified Personal Trainer and Health Fitness Specialist, and currently work as the Sports Coordinator for the Liberty County YMCA. She also is a contributing writer for Blue Zone Blog, and serves as the team's Wellness Expert. While her life is currently consumed with career changes and planning her wedding, she enjoys traveling and exercising in her spare time.

Currently, Soror Dunn is employed by the Department of Defense as an elementary school registrar.She enjoys spending time with her husband of 10 years and fellowshipping with her “Classy but oh so Sassy” sisters of Chi Pi Zeta.

October 2014 - Debra Booker
 
Soror Debra Booker became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in December 1981 as a charter member of Lambda Lambda Chapter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the end of October, Debra will begin her new job as the Regional Administrative Officer for the Peace Corps in Dallas. She additionally works as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Ashford University. Previously, she served in the capacity of Career Counselor, Fatherhood Program Director and Dean of Instruction at Savannah Technical College.Debra has been a featured presenter at two National Youth at Risk Conferences and was appointed to a Georgia Delegation to address the U.S. Congress on national fatherhood issues. She is a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Army where she served as a Behavioral Science Specialist, working in Social Work Services, Community Mental Health, the Army Substance Abuse Program and Psychology Services.She has one son, Darius who is currently a graduate student at California Institute of the Arts and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

February 2014 - Aleesha D. Butler 
Soror Aleesha D. Butler is a full-time mother, wife, student and career woman.  She became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the spring of 2011 through Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, Georgia.  Born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, Soror Butler began working for the U.S. Postal Service upon completion of high school.  Shortly thereafter, her desire to serve her country in a more meaningful way led her to join the United States Air Force.  After six years sevice on active-duty and two years Reserve duty as a military police officer, she decided to give her young son and husband (high school sweetheart) of 15 years, the well-deserved time and attention they earned by supporting her during her military career.  At this time, she became a full-time mother, wife and student.  During her professional career hiatus, she earned her Master's Degree in Business Administration.  Currently, Soror Butler is employed by the Department of Defense as a School Support Assistant for the Fort Stewart School System.  Her current endeavors include completing her doctoral studies in Business Administration.  Her constant zeal for education is guided by Zeta's principle of scholarship and to be an example for others. She exemplifies the ideal "it is not where you are from, but rather  where you want to go, that should guide your steps in life."

January 2014 - Larita Dalton, Shelia Dease-Dinkins and Korri Williams
 
Soror Larita Dalton became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sority, Inc. in 2006 in Seoul, Korea through Pi Eta Zeta Chapter.  Since then, she has been an active member and loves working within the community. Larita is a charter member of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter and currently serves as First Vice President and Membership Coordinator.  She is a single mother of one son Malachi, who she proudly states is in the transition phase to college.  For her son, discipline and education is a must.  She is currently matriculating in a doctorate program with Capella University in Health Care Administration, specializing in Health Care Leadership.  Her focus for 2014 is productivity and empowerment and hopes that the zeal and determination she carries for these two things motivates and influences others to be the best that they can be.

Soror Korri Williams became a member of Zeta Phi Beta in the spring of 2002 through Psi Alpha Chapter at South Carolina State University.There, she served as chapter president from 2004 through 2006.She is a native of Hardeeville, SC and now resides in Brunswick, GA. Korri became a member of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in 2011.She holds a BS in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Soror Williams worked in Child Protective Services for over four years while living in South Carolina. She is currently employed as a Foster Care Supervisor with the Liberty County Department of Family and Children Services.She is the mother of three children; one girl; Ayania and two boys; Tre and Jekori.In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with youth and working in the name of Zeta.
 

December 2013 - Debra Booker

Stewart. Soror Jovanda Curry became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. in Fall 2007 with Beta Theta Zeta Chapter, Norfolk, VA and transferred to Chi Pi Zeta Chapter, Hinesville, GA in 2012 from Nu Beta Zeta Chapter, Fort Knox, KY. Jovanda is a native of Virginia, a wife, a nana and veteran of the U.S. Army. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Excelsior College and a Masters degree from Norfolk State University in School Counseling PreK-12.  She has been employed with the Department of Defense for over 25 years and is currently employed as a Guidance Counselor at the Army Education Center; Fort Stewart, GA. Soror Curry has been married to her loving husband for almost 17 years. She has three children and two grandchildren. Soror Curry enjoys helping Soldiers and family members as well as spending time with family, friends, and the Finer Woman of Chi Pi Zeta. Soror Denise Dunn became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. in the Spring of 2011 through the Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, Georgia.  A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Soror Dunn is a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force.  She served as a military personnel specialist and as a flight attendant aboard Air Force II and other aircraft transporting our nation’s leaders around the world.  She received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Savannah campus and hopes to utilize her education in a future business start-up. Currently, Soror Dunn is employed by the Department of Defense as an elementary school registrar.  She enjoys spending time with her husband of 10 years and fellowshipping with her “Classy but oh so Sassy” sisters of Chi Pi Zeta.

Soror Larita Dalton became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc on 19 June 2006 in Seoul, Korea (Pi Eta Zeta).  She is a single parent of one, Malachi, who is currently a senior in high school.  She is one of the chartering members of Chi Pi Zeta, in which she has held positions as chapter secretary and currently serving as chapter vice president.  She currently holds an AA in Liberal Arts, BA in Sociology, MBA with a concentration in HealthCare Administration and currently working on a DHA in Healthcare Leadership with Capella University.  Her motto for life is that “in order to succeed, it is necessary to accept the world as it is, rise above it and be the change agent. “

Soror Lori McKinney became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the fall of 2012 through Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, GA. Lori is a native of Hobson City, Alabama. She holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland-Pacific. She is currently matriculating her MBA at Trident Unviersity International. Soror McKinney recently retired from the United States Army where she served over 22 years.  She is currently employed as a Material Expeditor at the Anniston Army Depot in Bynum, Alabama.  She states; "My transition was bittersweet because I did not want to relocate from Hinesville but I was going to let God direct my path, and he has.  I want to thank the "Classy But Oh So Sassy ladies of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter for giving me a newfound purpose and I look forward to the upcoming sorority year."    
 
 
 
Soror Krystle Pitts became a Zeta in spring 2003 through the Chi Epsilon Chapter of the University of Georgia. She holds a BA in Journalism, a BS in Women’s Studies, and an MS in Leadership. After working for the Art Institute for several years in Charlotte, NC, Krystle moved back to her hometown where she currently works as a Resident Director at Savannah State University. Though this position requires a hectic schedule and a unique lifestyle, she is motivated by her passion for program planning and training young people to be leaders. Outside of work, Krystle is a singer and an actress performing under the stage name “Kryscendo.”

Soror Chemeka Harris enjoys the honor of being selected Pearl of the Month twice this sorority year. She became a member of Zeta Phi Beta in the spring of 2011 through Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, Georgia. She is an officer of Chi Pi Zeta, currently serving as chapter Secretary. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from American Military University and is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Project Management. Chemeka is a veteran of the U.S. Army and is currently employed with the Department of Homeland Security. Chemeka is a finer woman who represents elegance, passion, and determination as she strives to make positive changes in the world around her. She is the proud mother of two and resides in Darien, Georgia.

 

 


April 2013 - Marlayna Bryant, Lori McKinney and Karen Dennis
 

Soror Marlayna Bryant became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc in the Fall of 2012 through Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, GA. She is a native of Savannah, GA. Soror Bryant has been married for 17 years. Her husband currently serves his country for 18 years. She is also a mother of 2 children. Soror Bryant serves in the community by volunteering for the 530 Engineer Company Family Readiness Group (FRG) where she is the Co-Leader and a volunteer counselor at a substance abuse program in Savannah, GA. She is a Case Manager Supervisor for Trinity J and D, LLC. Soror Bryant holds a BS in Psychology and Sociology and a MS in Mental Health Counseling. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and Sorors; listening to live music; attending local church; and hanging with her best friend; her husband.

Soror Lori McKinney became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the fall of 2012 through Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, GA.  Lori is a native of Hobson City, Alabama.  She holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland-Pacific.  She is currently matriculating her MBA at Trident Unviersity International.  She is beginning her transition into civilian life after serving 22 years and 9 months in the United States Army where she holds the rank of Master Sergeant.  Soror McKinney has two sons; Anthony and Jared and three grandchildren; Xavier, Jasmen and Payton.  Her future endeavors include; completing her Master's Degree and starting a new career in the path the Lord has planned for her.  She enjoys spending time with family, friends, cooking, and doing the work Zeta with the Classy But Oh So Sassy Sisters of Chi Pi Zeta.

Soror Karen Dennis became a member of Zeta Phi Beta in the fall of 2012 through Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, GA. She is a native of Clanton, Alabama and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University.  She is currently working towards an Undergraduate Certification at American Military University in Forensics. Soror Dennis is currently employed with the Department of Homeland Security as an Enforcement Removal Assistant. She is a Veteran of The United States Coast Guard, and has two sons; Patrick - a freshman Nursing student at Trenholm Technical College  and Tre’von, a 6th grader and athelete in football and basketball. Soror Dennis has a new granddaughter; London Leigh Cook (6 month old) who she enjoys spending time with and spoiling.  Soror Dennis enjoys spending time with family, friends, listening to music of all genres, and spending time with her Sisters of Chi Pi Zeta.


March 2013 - Sandra Flournoy

Soror Sandra Flournoy became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. in the fall of 2010 through the Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, Georgia. Sandra is a native of South Carolina. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College, and is currently completing her MBA at Webster University. She is currently employed with the Department of Defense as a Referral Management Coordinator. Soror Flournoy has been married to a wonderful man for 11 years who has been serving in the United States Army for the past 26 years, and has one son (Kristopher) who is a freshman at Valdosta State University. Soror Flournoy enjoys spending time with family, friends, reading, and her Sisters of Chi Pi Zeta.

 


February 2013 - Villardine Goode
 

Soror Villardine Goode is a wife, mother and Soldier in the United States Army.  She has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta since Fall 2011 and has recently transferred to Chi Pi Zeta chapter from Rho Mu Zeta out of Clarksville, TN.  She has been serving in the Army for 13 years.  She has been married to the love of her life for 10 years and has two children.  Soror Goode holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource and Technology Management from Troy University and is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University.  Soror Goode enjoys spending time with her family, a good book, and working with the "classy, but oh so sassy" ladies of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter.

 


January 2013 - Johnnie Sledge

Soror Johnnie Sledge became a member of Zeta Phi Beta in the Spring of 2012 through the Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in Hinesville, Georgia.  Johnnie is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a U.S. Army Veteran.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Special Education specializing in Learning and Behavior Disorders, and a Specialist’s Degree in Education Administration/Leadership.  Soror Sledge is employed by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) as a Special Education Assessor for the Fort Stewart School System.  In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor for South Georgia State College (formerly Waycross College) at Armstrong Atlantic State University.  Soror Sledge is married and has two children; (one son and one daughter) and five granddaughters.  Soror Sledge enjoys spending time with family and friends, encouraging adult learners, working with children and getting involved in church and community activities as a means of giving back to society and improving the lives of others.


December 2012 - Korri Williams
 

Soror Korri Williams became a member of Zeta Phi Beta in the spring of 2002 through Psi Alpha Chapter at South Carolina State University.  There, she served as chapter president from 2004 through 2006.  She is a native of Hardeeville, SC and now resides in Brunswick, GA.  Korri became a member of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in 2011.  She holds a BS in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Soror Williams worked in Child Protective Services for over four years while living in South Carolina. She is currently employed as a Foster Care Supervisor with the Liberty County Department of Family and Children Services.  She is the mother of three children; one girl; Ayania and two boys; Tre and Jekori.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with youth and working in the name of Zeta.


November 2012 - LaRita Dalton

  

Soror Larita Dalton became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc on 19 June 2006 in Seoul, Korea (Pi Eta Zeta).  She is a single parent of one, Malachi, who is currently a junior in high school.  Soror Dalton is one of the chartering members of Chi Pi Zeta Chapter.  She has previously served as chapter secretary and is currently in her second term as chapter vice president.  She holds an AA in Liberal Arts and a BA in Sociology.  She additionally, recently completed a MBA with a concentration in HealthCare Administration.  Her motto for life is; “the world is a stage and everyone must play their part in order to succeed. It is necessary to accept the world as it is and rise above it.”

Soror LaToya Jacobs became a member of Zeta Phi Beta in the spring of 2012 through the Chi Pi Zeta chapter in Hinesville, Georgia.She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Teaching as well as a Masters of Public Health degree.LaToya is currently employed with the Department of Defense Education Activity where she gives support to students within the Special Education Program.LaToya exemplifies the zealous passion, and bravery of a finer woman.She is the proud mother of two boys.  She is family oriented, driven, and grounded within her faith.
 
 
 

Soror Elizabeth Marlin hails from North Little Rock, AR. She became a Zeta through the Iota Nu Chapter at Arkansas State University in Fall 2004 and served as the Chapter President from 2005-2006.  She joined Chi Pi Zeta Chapter in 2009.  She currently serves as the Chapter Antipokritis and has previously served as the Chapter Secretary. Elizabeth graduated from Arkansas State University, where she was a Distinguished Military Graduate and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology with a minor in Military Science. She was commissioned in the Military Intelligence Corps in 2006 and currently holds the rank of Captain.  She has deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.  She has served the positions of Human Intelligence Platoon Leader, Battalion Intelligence Officer, and Assistant Brigade Intelligence Officer and most recently completed time as the Company Commander of B Co, 4-3 BSTB, 3ID.  She is currently serving as the Rear-Detachment Brigade S2 until she transitions to full time graduate student in August 2013.

August 2012  -  Shelia Dease-Dinkins
 
Soror Shelia Dease-Dinkins has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for 15 years (April 1997). Shelia is orginally from Brooklyn, New York, however she became a member of the Sorority at Morris Brown College, Beta Chapter in Atlanta, Georgia.  Shelia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Morris Brown College and earned a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix in 2006, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  In 2009, she earned a second Master's Degree in Human Services from Capella University with Cum Laude honors. Shelia is currently employed with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) where she serves as the Facility Director of the Claxton Regional Youth Detention Center.  She has been employed with DJJ since April, 1998 and has held numerous positions including; Juvenile Correctional Officer I, Juvenile Correctional Officer II, Juvenile Correctional Lietenant, Juvenile Dentention Assistant Director and, Senior Investigator before being promoted to her current position in September 2007.  Shelia is married, has a 14 year-old son and resides in Pooler, Georgia.
